Although born in small town Alberta I lived most of my adult life in Toronto and New York city. When I was in my mid fifties my journey as a painter of abstract art began when I was introduced to the amazing expression of colour in the work of Ronnie Landfield at the Art Students League of NYC. Ronnie quickly became my prime instructor and his mentorship and work is the inspiration of all my work. The driving force behind my works in oils and acrylics is the world of colour in all its manifestations; real or imagined.
