Ryan Miller began his art career in 2018 painting along with Bob Ross videos as a break from his life as a busy freelance musician. Art became a passion, and he quickly traded landscapes of mighty mountains and happy little trees for abstractions influenced heavily by his lifelong pursuit of music. Much like his diverse musical career, his artwork covers a wide range of styles from Pollack-inspired splashes and Kusama-based patterns, to experiments in texture using both oil and acrylic on canvas, paper, and occasionally even musical instruments. He just closed his third solo exhibition in two years, "Further Escalation" at The Fulton Street Collective in Chicago.
