Emmanuel "Manu" Xavier Verneuil, freelance

"Visual artist", Franco-German painter and photographer, grew up in Germany, lives and works in Villefranche-sur-Mer (South of France) and Hamburg.

His early artistic development was significantly influenced by Gerard Eppelé and Roger Leloup and is also orientated towards the art and lifestyle of the French Côte d'Azur.

After studying the visual arts of painting and photography, artistic expression through painting took centre stage and led to his first regional successes in France.

Photographic works, which complemented the art of painting, continue to define the symbiosis and success of his work to this day.

After a variety of art projects in France and Germany, travels and stays in West and Central Africa, a phase of reorientation followed, which placed pure painterly exploration at the centre of his work. It was guided by various contemporary painters, Expressionism and Fauvism, as well as the search for uniqueness in interpretation.

This primarily concerns new techniques in the depiction of selected figurative subjects.

In the centre of his life in Hamburg, the artist creates current series of works, which he presents in various exhibitions and his own vernissages.

Some of his artistic activities and current projects are carried out in collaboration with charitable organisations and reflect his personal commitment.
